Honolulu police say Chino Albert has been arrested. He was wanted for two contempt warrants totaling $61,000.

“On June 5, 2013, at 11:35 p.m., officers were sent to Makiki Park on a report of an assault type case,” said Crimestopper Sgt. Kim Buffett. “They met with a witness who stated that three males were observed hitting a male, striking him with a weapon. The male was found, identified and taken to the hospital with head injuries. An APB was put out for the three males, and they were located near Lincoln Elementary School.”

One of the men was identified as Albert. He was arrested for assault.

He was wanted on a $50,000 warrant in connection with that case, and for not showing up for a court hearing in February.

Albert was arrested on Sunday, Dec. 13, at approximately 11:42 p.m., at North School and Aupuni streets.

He is 21 years old and has no local address and one prior conviction.
