Crowds fill Kalakaua Avenue for Aloha Festivals’ Waikiki block party

It was quite a party on the street in Waikiki Saturday night.

The Aloha Festivals’ Waikiki Ho’olaule’a block party on Kalakaua Avenue started at 7 p.m., with four stages offering entertainment, from Robi Kahakalau to Kapena and many more.

Thousands also had their pick of 21 food booths and trucks, and 32 craft vendors.

The event came to a close at 10 p.m.

The Aloha Festivals’ Floral Parade will march down the same road next week Saturday.

Kalakaua Avenue will reopen at the discretion of the Honolulu Police Department.
