Community meeting to address crime and other issues at Oneula Beach Park

Local News

There are plans to address crime, homeless encampments and maintenance issues at an Ewa Beach Park.

City Councilwoman Kymberly Pine is hosting a community meeting on Wednesday, May 15, at Kapolei Hale.

Honolulu Police will be there to discuss how regular park hours and a clear enforcement plan will help reduce the crime at Oneula Beach Park, also known as Hau Bush.

The new comfort station was recently vandalized, and community members regularly spend their weekends cleaning up the park.

The park does not have a dedicated county caretaker.

The public is invited to attend the meeting, which runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
