Coast Guard seeks public's help identifying owner of vessel found adrift

HONOLULU (KHON2) - The Coast Guard is seeking assistance identifying the owner of a 25-foot blue and white Cuddy Cabin cruiser found adrift two miles off Hawaii Kai, Friday.

It is requested that anyone with information regarding the vessel to please contact the Sector Honolulu command center at 808-842-2600.

An Air Station Barbers Point HM-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew and Station Honolulu 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew conducted a search of the area. 

There are no reports of missing persons at this time. 

Sector Honolulu watchstanders issued an urgent marine information broadcast notice to mariners to keep a sharp lookout for signs of distress.  

A hazard to navigation broadcast notice to mariners was issued.
