HONOLULU (KHON2) - The city has started removal of the three Kiawe trees at Kapiolani Park that fell on Feb. 10 during the severe weather.
The trees are estimated to be 60' tall and around a century old.
Work is expected to be completed this week.
There were 90 tree-related incidents stemming from the storm last week Sunday. The city inspects and maintains about 250,000 trees in parks and across the island.
