Body matching description of missing swimmer in Kailua Bay found on shore

A Schofield Barracks soldier died after swimming at Kailua Bay on Friday.

The soldier has been identified as Private Saije Anthony Daniel, who was 21 and from Richmond, Virginia. He was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, since Feb. 20, 2019. 

The Honolulu Fire Department responded to a call of a body washed up on shore in Kailua Bay on Sunday at 5:25 a.m. 

The body was found on shore and matched the description of the soldier.
