All lanes of Likelike Highway and the Wilson Tunnel have been reopened in both directions following a major crash late Wednesday evening.

All Honolulu town-bound lanes at the H-3 and LikeLike split were previously closed due to ongoing investigations into the crash.

According to police, at 11 p.m. Wednesday night an 18-year-old male was driving Kaneohe-bound on the Likelike Highway when he lost control of the vehicle and hit the center guard rail.

Upon impact, the vehicle flipped several times and landed on the Honolulu-bound side of Likelike Highway.

The driver and three other passengers were taken to a nearby hospital in good condition.

Police said alcohol does seem to be a contributing factor at this time.

It is unknown if speed is a factor.

This case remains under investigation.
