19 incumbents secure seats after running unopposed in the primary

Even before the polls opened, 19 candidates already knew they were remaining in office.

The state senator, 16 state representatives, and two council members from Hawaii County are all incumbents and no other candidates are running against them in the primary today or from another party in the general election.

That means they all have won their seats for their next term.
