Light to moderate trade winds are going to continue through the remainder of the work week and into the weekend.
The trade wind conditions will strengthen to moderate levels over the weekend and potentially reaching breezy conditions by next week.
A cold front will pass to the far north of the state which will cause winds to ease off late Thursday evening and through Friday.
Dry conditions will continue for the western part of the island chain. However, the windward and mauka sections of Maui and Hawaii Island will see an uptick in showery trade wind weather. An upper level disturbance will cause instability for Maui and Hawaii Island bringing a chance for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms Friday night through Sunday.
Drier weather is expected from Niihau to Lana’i.
