Starting tonight, the easterly trade winds will be weakening due to a high pressure system moving farther away from the islands.
Due to another cold front approaching the islands from the northwest, the winds will also shift to the southeast direction which will allow light and variable winds to prevail across the state starting Sunday.
A mostly dry and stable atmosphere is over the islands which will limit the amount of showers.
With sea breezes during the day, we could see afternoon showers for the inland and leeward areas.
Next week, mostly variable winds will stay steady, however we could have couple brief rounds of light trade winds popping through.
The High Surf and Small Craft Advisories have been extended until Sunday at 6:00 am.
