King Kamehameha’s feathered cape to be displayed at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City


A cape that once belonged to King Kamehameha the first will soon be going on display at one of the world’s most prestigious museums.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. 

The beautiful feathered cape is just one of the exhibits featured in Atea: Nature and Divinity in Polynesia.

The showcase features artifacts from across Polynesia that have a link to religion. 

The exhibit begins Nov. 19 and runs through October of next year.
