Kauai police seek public’s help to find fugitive

The Kauai Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a wanted fugitive and alleged sex offender, Tristian Taeza, age 21, of Kapaa.

Taeza is wanted on a $50,000 bench warrant for failing to appear in court on a motion for modification or revocation of probation. 

He is also wanted on a grand jury indictment for two counts of sexual assault in the first degree. 

Bail on the grand jury warrant is set at $100,000.

Taeza is5’9″ and weighs approximately 195 pounds. 

He has brown eyes, black hair, and is of Japanese descent.

Police believe Taeza fled to Hilo last month, and it is not known whether he has returned to Kauai.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call KPD immediately at 241-1711.
