A Kauai man was charged with multiple drug offenses after police found nearly 480 grams of crystal methamphetamine.
Officials say a drug operation in February led authorities to Ramah Wong, 40, of Kapaa.
Wong was wanted on two bench warrants for violating the terms of his probation on Oahu.
Police say during the search to arrest, police recovered $3,430 in cash and a canine screening alerted police to the suspicion of narcotics in two backpacks and a vehicle in Wong’s possession.
Police executed a search warrant on the backpacks and vehicle two days later, leading to the recovery of approximately 471.4 grams of crystal methamphetamine, approximately 9.1 grams of marijuana, and an additional $34,351 in cash.
Wong now faces multiple charges including Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the First Degree, Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the Third Degree, and Promoting a Detrimental Drug in the Third Degree.
Police continue to investigate this case.
Wong’s next court hearing for Revocation of Probation is currently scheduled for April 3.
