The 6th round of the National Football League draft saw the Interscholastic League of Honolulu’s third former football standout come off of the board with 2012 Kamehameha-Kapalama graduate Kamu Grugier-Hill being selected by the Patriots.
New England tabbed Grugier-Hill, a linebacker, with the 208th overall pick.
Standing at 6’2″ and 215 pounds, the former Warrior racked up 16.5 tackles-for-loss with Eastern Illinois in 2015.
With a blistering 4.5 second 40-yard dash time at his pro day, Grugier-Hill is under consideration for a move to defensive back with the Patriots.
2012 Punahou graduate and UCLA kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn agreed to an undrafted free agent deal with the Texans Saturday.
In 2015, Fairbairn was named as college football’s best kicker with the Lou Groza award.
