The 69th-annual Tony Awards were handed out in New York Sunday evening, and one of them went to a local O’ahu girl!
Ruthie Ann Miles in her Broadway debut won the Tony for “Best Featured Actress in a Musical.”
That’s for her role in the Broadway revival of the classic “The King and I.”
Miles is a 2001 graduate of Kaimuki High School.
