More Hawaii students will be able to fly with Island Air’s College Student Standby Program.

Students enrolled in Hawaii Pacific University, Chaminade University of Honolulu, and Brigham Young University-Hawaii now have the opportunity to stand by for any Island Air interisland flight for $45 each way.

It’s a standby rate, subject to seat availability and can be changed without notice. Taxes, fees, and restrictions may apply.

Island Air launched its college standby fares last October as a pilot program available to students enrolled at University of Hawaii schools and community colleges on Oahu and Maui. As Island Air added routes to Lihue and Kona, the standby program was expanded to include all universities and community colleges in the UH system.

Now, with growing requests from students at other local universities, any student at the schools mentioned above are eligible for the fare if they present a valid student ID to a customer service agent at any Island Air ticket counter.

There is no maximum number of times a student may participate in the offer.
