Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota gave a shoutout to Hawaii’s Little League World Series champions Tuesday.

During a press conference in Nashville, the Saint Louis graduate was asked for his thoughts on the team.

“It was exciting, and honestly the way that they handled the Hurricane Lane and everything back home, to go out there and play for each other, play for Hawaii was really special. I’m proud of those guys. We’ve got a couple kids that are Saint Louis guys that are going to be going to school there, so exciting and just really proud to say those guys were able to accomplish that,” Mariota replied.

Those “guys” include Tanner Chun and Sean Yamaguchi. They’ll be honored on campus Wednesday, along with the team’s coaches, who are on the school’s athletics staff.

“I love my school at Saint Louis,” Yamaguchi told KHON2’s Rob DeMello on Monday. “Everyone texted me, even if I don’t know them, they always support the Brotherhood. That’s what I love.”
