iLove Rehab event honors 65 years of caring for patients


The Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific (REHAB) is celebrating 65 years of helping thousands of individuals with the challenges caused by serious physical or cognitive injuries.

The facility held its iLOVE REHAB anniversary event Sunday at its main facility located at 226 North Kuakini Street. Hundreds of supporters and shareholders attended the iLOVE REHAB anniversary event and enjoyed demonstrations by REHAB professionals, educational exhibits, free blood pressure checks and posture analysis, as well as, getting to learn more about various programs offered. 
“We are pleased to have served Hawaii’s community and the individuals around the Pacific Rim in need of acute inpatient medical rehabilitation for 65 years,” said Dr. Timothy Roe, President and CEO of REHAB Hospital of the Pacific. “We look forward to continuing the legacy of being able to provide the highest level of rehabilitation care for many years to come.”
At the event, the REHAB Hospital of the Pacific which is Hawaii’s only comprehensive acute rehabilitation hospital serving Hawaii and the Pacific received two proclamations, one from the Governor’s office and one from the Mayor’s office designating September 16-22, 2018 as “REHAB Awareness Week” and “REHAB Hospital of the Pacific Week” respectively.
There was also food from local vendors and local entertainment. As part of the festivities a lucky drawing was held and there were two lucky winners. One was a Las Vegas get-a-way courtesy of Vacations Hawaii that included a stay at the newly renovated California Hotel. The second winner received two round-trip tickets on Alaska Airlines.
