How Ridiculous: World record basketball shot from 415 feet

Did you know Tasmania’s Gordon Dam is 415 feet tall?

The Australian trick-shot team “How Ridiculous” does. Because they put a basketball hoop at the bottom, went to the top, and broke their own world record for the second time in the category of “greatest height from which a basketball is shot.”

In 2011, the group broke the record for highest-altitude basketball shot with a 219.5-foot basket off a light tower. Then in 2013, they broke their own record with a 299-foot shot of the Euromast in the Netherlands.

“A big thanks to the Hydro Tasmania, Aardvark Adventures and the Sunday Night program for helping us to make this shot a reality. It’s been a dream of ours to make a shot off Gordon Dam since 2010. This shot breaks our previous Guinness World Record for the greatest height from which a basketball is shot which was 91m off the Euromast in the Netherlands in 2013. Next stop: The Burj Al Arab Helicopter Pad? Or the Burj Khalifa?”

The Burj Khalifa is the worlds tallest building at 2,717 feet.
