High surf warning in effect for west and north facing shores of the state

High surf to peak Wednesday and throughout the evening and gradually head down the island chain.

Wave heights over 25-foot faces will roll in through Thursday.

For Wednesday, it’s looking like 25 to 35-foot faces up on the North Shore.

The high surf warning will continue for north and west facing shores.

The swell is generated by a strong system well to the north of the state many days ago is finally arriving. 

Trade wind weather is what we’re expecting through the next couple of days. Meanwhile, through Friday we’ll see the extra sunshine sticking around. 

Rainfall to increase starting on Saturday.
