High surf advisories in place for majority of west and north facing shores of the state

It’s setting up to be a really nice Tuesday.

We’re still going to be seeing showery low-level clouds impacting Maui County and Hawaii Island.

Reminance of a cold front that passed through the state for a couple of days is now pushed down the island chain.

Good news, trade winds will stick around throughout the week.

Low-levels clouds are impacting mainly the mauka and windward areas being brought onshore by our trade winds.

Heavier showers may impact Hawaii Island due to a trough that is lingering around the area.

Big surf will be coming through today.

By this evening, forecast show up to 24-foot faces for the north shore.

There is a high surf advisory in place for west and north facing shores.
