High humidity to remain through the end of this week

Southeast winds are moving over the islands, bringing higher than normal humidity to the state.

This wind pattern is caused by a storm front to the northwest of Kauai.

This wind pattern is expected to hold through much of the week.

Starting Wednesday and Thursday, Hurricane Walaka will be moving far west of the islands, leading to a continuation of southeast winds.

So when will the trades return? It looks like that will happen on Sunday.

Until then winds will be light and shower activity will be limited.  Overall showers for the next few days will be isolated at best.
