Honolulu police and CrimeStoppers have arrested Destinie Lopes, who was wanted on two warrants in connection with a drug case.

“On Jan. 16, 2015, at 11:45 p.m., an officer making a check at Nani Kai Beach Park observed a female with drugs and drug paraphernalia in her hand,” said CrimeStoppers Sgt. Kim Buffett. “He recognized the items as being illegal and placed her under arrest for promoting dangerous drugs in the third degree and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.”

She was wanted on a $50,000 warrant for not showing up for her probation review hearing, and an $11,000 warrant for violating the terms of her probation.

“Lopes has three prior convictions and is known to frequent the Honolulu and Waianae areas,” Buffett adds.

Lopes was arrested on June 7, at approximately 7:05 p.m., at 2003 Ahuula Street.
