Editor’s note: Amber Nakamura was featured on Hawaii’s Most Wanted on March 5, 2016, and has since been arrested.
Honolulu police and CrimeStoppers say a woman who they say assaulted an officer, then a month later arrested again, is no longer wanted.
Amber Nakamura was arrested by sheriffs Saturday afternoon.
She was wanted on two $50,000 warrants for not showing up for a trial call connected to two separate cases.
“In the first case on February 13, 2015, Nakamura was being transferred to the hospital for a mental health evaluation,” said CrimeStoppers Sgt. Kim Buffett. “While at the hospital she became agitated and struck the officer.”
Nakamura was arrested for assault against a law enforcement officer.
She was also arrested last March.
“Nakamura and a male passenger drove to a residence on Waikaloa Street and began throwing eggs at the vehicles,” Buffett said. “They were confronted by the residents and an argument ensued and Nakamura drove through the mailbox, through the front gate, smashing the complainant’s car. She reversed, struck the car again, causing the car to hit the house.”
She was arrested for criminal property damage and terroristic threatening in that case.
