Hawaii’s delegation sworn in for 116th Congress

The 116th Congress opened Thursday and members were sworn in, including U.S. Sen. Mazie Hirono, who is returning for her second six-year term.

Rep. Ed Case marked his return to Washington D.C. representing Hawaii’s First Congressional District, a seat previously held by Colleen Hanabusa.

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard was also sworn in.

Sen. Brian Schatz is still in the middle of his term, having been re-elected in 2016.
