Hawaii county will ask for more time to fight a recent court ruling that could change our gun laws.
Last week, the 9th circuit court of appeals ruled that the 2nd amendment provides the right to openly carry a gun in public for self-defense.
The panel found that Hawaii was violating a Hawaii island man’s constitutional rights by denying him a permit to openly carry a gun.
An attorney for the county tells us it wants a panel of judges to review the appeals court decision in hopes of having the ruling overturned.
