The man who was arrested in connection with a robbery at a Haleiwa gas station has had “multiple police-related contacts” with law enforcement in the local area.
Kalani Fierro was arrested on Friday at 3:40 p.m. in the Wahiawa area for robbery in the first degree.
Fierro is accused of threatening a female who was refueling her vehicle at a Haleiwa gas station April 10 with a pocket knife. The victim ran into the gas staton store and called for help. Fierro then drove away in her car.
Surveillance video clearly showed Fierro during the encounter and the victim was able to identify him from that video.
Fierro made his initial appearance on Monday for the offense.
