A large group of canines joined their owners Friday at Proservice Hawaii in the Hawaii Kai Towne Center as part of the 18th annual Take Your Dog to Work Day.
The HR solutions firm joined the international celebration for the fourth year in a row by opening its doors to its employees’ furry, four-legged best friends.
“We’re really rewarding our employees for being great members of our teams,” said spokeswoman Natalie Spencer, “so they get to bring their furry family members with them to work.
“It’s so therapeutic to just have your dog with you … so many of them are just sleeping and hanging out while we work,” she said. “The company has about 160-plus employees, and today, we’re hosting over 30 dogs.”
The work day was filled with activities like a pet costume contest, a “furry fun fair” with vendors and the Hawaiian Humane Society, complete with a pet photo booth, and a best trick contest.
