For the 5th time since he was drafted in the 4th round in 2011, former University of Hawai’i All-American receiver Greg Salas has signed with a new NFL franchise.
Salas inked a contract with the Detroit Lions this morning, adding the motor city to his list of pit stops which include St. Louis, New England, Philadelphia, and New York.
The Chino Hills, California native’s 2014 campaign with the Jets was his most productive since his rookie campaign. Salas hauled in 8 catches for 167 yards, and recorded his first career NFL touchdown on a 20 yard reverse in a week 14 loss to the Dolphins.
Unfortunately, Salas injured his hamstring on the play, and missed the rest of the season after being placed on injured reserve.
The Lions begin offseason OTA workouts on May 26th.
