Flooding conditions continue across the state

HONOLULU (KHON2) - A dissipating cold front with deep tropical moisture will continue to produce wet weather through Saturday.

Radar and satellite continue to show moderate to locally heavy showers across Molokai and Hawaii Island, portions of which are currently under flood advisories.

Shower intensities should decrease overnight as the dynamic forcing aloft diminishes.

Returning trade winds will begin to focus the highest rainfall amounts over windward and mountain areas later tonight.

The weather forecast for next week continues to show a dry breezy to locally windy trade wind weather pattern from Monday through next Friday. Mid to long range global forecast models are in good agreement improving our confidence in next weeks drier trade wind weather pattern.
