A flash flood watch has been issued for the islands of Kauai, Oahu and Niihau that will go into effect 6 p.m. Tuesday evening through Wednesday afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service, moist and unstable conditions will develop as a weather disturbance drives a front over Kauai Tuesday night then Oahu early Wednesday.

The threat of heavy showers and thunderstorms will be focused over Kauai during the first part of the night then move to Oahu later in the evening and early Wednesday.
