Flash flood warning in effect for Oahu until 8:15 a.m. Thursday

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a flash flood warning for the island of Oahu in Honolulu County until 8:15 a.m. Thursday.

Heavy rain hits Oahu overnight, creating problems across the island. There was brown water at the beach at Ala Moana Park, and a lot of debris collected in the Ala Wai Canal. The rain also created flooding that threatened a home just off Round Top Drive.

The earlier flash flood warning for the island of Maui has expired. The National Weather Service has extended the flash flood watch for Maui County until Friday afternoon.
