Eat the Street is planning a special event at the Battleship Missouri Memorial next month.
On Saturday, May 9, food trucks will park on the Missouri’s 1,000-foot pier in Pearl Harbor for “Eat the Street: Mo Bettah Edition.”
Entry is free and open to the public.
Food will be served starting at 3 p.m. and guests can enjoy free limited tours of America’s last and most famous battleship starting at 4 p.m.
Complimentary shuttle service over the Ford Island Bridge will be provided to those without base access from the Pearl Harbor Visitors Center.
Parking near the Battleship Missouri Memorial will be available to those with access to Ford Island.
Meanwhile, Friday, April 24, is the first night Eat the Street will be held in its new location in Kakaako.
Due to construction, the monthly event will now be located at Kakaako Makai Gateway Park near the John A. Burns School of Medicine and the Children’s Discovery Center.
There was previously some backlash with several homeless tents in the area.
Street Grindz, the company behind Eat the Street, says the event will be staffed with security and it has no intention of displacing the homeless.
