In the last six months, the Department of Education opened 59 investigations into worker misconduct.
Right now, 55 workers have an open case that’s either being investigated or in the decision making process.
Four of those cases are over a year old.
The nature of the allegations include an elementary school teacher accused of sexual harassment and a vice principal accused of misusing DOE time and facilities.
There’s also cases involving inappropriate conduct towards students.
