The ocean is healing, which is why a local nonprofit uses it to help those who are physically challenged.
On Saturday afternoon, dozens gave back to the non-profit, AccesSurf, at a fundraiser for the group.
AccesSurf is home-grown and provides ocean access and recreational water activities to those with cognitive and physical challenges.
The group offers free monthly programs for residents and wounded warriors.
Saturday’s event included food trucks, live music and a silent auction.
