Daylight Savings Time ends on Sunday.

While Hawaii doesn’t participate in the event, what it does mean to island residents is that there will now be a two-hour difference between here and the West Coast instead of three, and a five-hour difference to the mainland’s East Coast instead of six.

Sports-wise, that means Sunday’s NFL games will start at 8 a.m. instead of 7.

The biannual clock twirling ritual has been around since Congress enacted it during World War I.
