Undeveloped land in the heart of Waikiki will soon be transformed into a new park.
City officials announced the park’s development Tuesday in partnership with the Rotary Club of Honolulu.
The 35,840-square-foot property is bordered by Aloha Drive, Manukai Street, Seaside Avenue, and Royal Hawaiian Avenue.
The park will offer green space filled with trees, benches, an open area, lighted walkways, and an irrigation system.
The Rotary Club will gift a majority of the work needed to create the park to the city at an estimated cost of over $440,000.
