Firefighters returned to Waialae Nui Ridge Thursday after a brush fire from the day before flared up again.
Four companies with 14 personnel and Air One responded at around 2:45 p.m. It’s still smoldering in some areas.
The fire first sparked at around 2 p.m. Wednesday, burning roughly three to five acres. Smoke could be seen from miles away.
No homes were threatened, but some homeowners told KHON2 flames came close to their property line.
The cause remains under investigation.
