BaseBows riding high to face reigning Big West champs

With perhaps their most complete performance of the 2015 season last week in a 3-game conference series sweep of U.C. Davis, there’s no rest in the Big West for the 12-20 University of Hawaii baseball team.

The Rainbow Warriors, now in 5th place at 3-3, will hope to continue to climb the conference gauntlet when they face defending conference champ Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo this weekend.

The Mustangs come into Friday’s series opener in a similar position as the ‘Bows, sporting a 11-18 overall record, having dropped 7 of their last 11 contests.

Hawaii will look to continue Cal Poly’s woes by continuing last weekend’s strong performances from their offense and bullpen, which had previously been an Achilles heel this season.

The three game series starts Friday at 3:00 pm HST. Saturday’s contest is scheduled at the same time, with the series concluding at 10:00 am on Sunday.
