Ask a Specialist: Pedestrian Safety


With the recent tragic events involving pedestrians, now’s the time to talk about pedestrian safety. Last September, the state Department of Transportation noted that pedestrian fatalities skyrocketed in Hawaii, with a 525 percent increase from the previous year.  While we can’t prepare for every situation, what are some things we can do to be a little safer on our streets?
