Argosy University raises money for disaster relief

While Big Island residents are dealing with the recent lava eruptions, Kauai remains in recovery mode following last month’s devastating floods.

To support both islands Argosy University teamed up with several partners to raise funds at Tamarind Park Thursday.

“Mainly, what we want to do is that we give something back,” Kawika Smith of Argosy. “Whether it’s rhetoric? We do want a dollar amount, but ultimately we just want people out on the Big Island and kauai to know.  Just because we’re separated by water, we are still connected. All family. That’s the main point of today.”

All of the donations will be going to the Salvation Army’s disaster relief efforts.
