The field at Aloha Stadium recently received a makeover, and now it’s getting a new name.
It will be called Hawaiian Tel Federal Credit Union Field at Aloha Stadium.
Hawaiian Airlines previously held the naming rights.
According to a Hawaiian Tel spokeswoman, the credit union purchased a three-year sponsorship at $275,000 per year.
Earlier this month, the stadium revealed newly installed field turf, which cost $1.2 million.
The new name will be painted on the turf in time for the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors’ first home game of the season.
Hawaii plays the University of Tennessee at Martin on Saturday, Sept. 10, at 6 p.m.
