Hoʻomau Ke Ola Innovative Drug Treatment Program, located in Waiʻanae, is based on Hawaiʻiʻs own cultural and spiritual values. Research and data show that meaningful rehabilitation must include a total and complete change of one’s life, lifestyle, and values. Ho`omau Ke Ola believes that in Hawaii, such change is much more likely to occur in a learning environment that is based on cultural and spiritual values from Hawaii`s rich past.

Hoʻomau Ke Ola is based on a Hawaiian model as opposed to a western model.

Hoomau Ke Ola is a non-profit Hawaiian culture-based substance abuse program that has been helping over 4,000 individuals since 1987 heal from addiction to drugs and alcohol. Last year, they became stewards of over 1,000 acres of land in Waianae Valley. Hoomau Ke Ola means to “perpetuate life as it was meant to be” and they are raising funds to help restore the aina to what it once was in the past–the breadbasket of the Leeward Coast. Moneys from the upcoming concert will be used to provide their most basic need–Wai, fresh water.
