Have you ever wondered where the names of our island streets come from?
That is why we have our weekly “Aloha Authentic” segment to help answer that question and share mo’olelo (stories) behind the given names.
For the month of October, we have been highlighting streets named after past Hawaiian royals.
This week, we end of the month with bringing attention to King Charles Lunalilo via Lunalilo Home Road.
We also visit our friend DeSoto Brown, Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum Historian, to share more knowledge of Hawai’i’s first elected king.
