The Tide is high on Tua Tagovailoa.
After the Saint Louis junior quarterback’s commitment to play football at the University of Alabama on Monday on KHON2, Crimson Tide offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin is in Hawaii to watch his new quarterback commit this weekend.
Tagovailoa threw routes in front of the renowned offensive guru for about two hours at Saint Louis Friday.
Tagovailoa, the 42nd-ranked player in the nation according to Scout.com, is now part of an Alabama recruiting class that features five other four-star prospects, as well as a pair of five-star commits.
Due to NCAA rules, Kiffin cannot comment on Tagovailoa until he either signs his letter of intent or financial aid to enroll early.
The defending national champion, Crimson Tide opens its 2016 season Saturday, Sept. 3, against USC in Dallas.
