7-Eleven’s birthday is coming up, and this year is particularly special.
That’s because in addition to 7-Eleven turning 89 this year, it’s also the 50th anniversary of one of its most iconic products, the Slurpee.
In keeping with tradition, the convenience store will be handing out free small Slurpee drinks from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on July 11, while supplies last.
That includes all 63 stores in Hawaii.
“We have a special flavor out. It’s called birthday cake and it tastes really like a birthday cake,” said 7-Eleven marketing manager Edna Ching. “We’ll have it while supplies last. It is a limited time flavor, so get it while you can.”
The company is also launching other new products, such as Slurpee flavored candy, Slurpee Swirl candy straws, Slurpee-flavored Chapstick, and Slurpee-flavored donuts.
