The 6th Annual “Get Ready Ewa Beach” Emergency Preparedness Fair is happening this Saturday. The Fair provides island wide (not just Ewa Beach) community members the opportunity to see and talk about what is needed in your emergency kits with a wide range of Emergency Preparedness professionals and volunteers.
“GET TRAINED” is this year’s theme. They will be offering information, tools, products, and registration for various free preparedness courses in Ewa Beach, the Leeward Communities, and throughout Oahu. The Hawaii Chapter American Red Cross will have a Walk Thru Shelter display and offering to hold classes in communities to include: How to become a RC Community Volunteer, Shelter Staffing, Damage Assessment, Smoke Alarm Installation for Kapuna’s. FEMA and Hawaii Emergency Management Agency courses will be offered both online and in class. NDPTC courses (National Disaster Preparedness Training Center) Awareness courses for Tsunami & Hurricane Preparedness. Hawaii Heart Foundation (Basic Life Saving/AED/CPR)Event Detais:
