If you love food – get ready to chow down because the 14th annual East Honolulu Food Festival is happening this Saturday, April 27 from 53:0-9:30 p.m. at e Star of the Sea School, 4470 Aliikoa Street.
It’s an event for the entire family, with ono food, live entertainment and carnival rides for the keiki.
This year’s theme is a starry night, and orgaziners stopped by this morning on Wake Up 2day to talk about where the proceeds go.
“This festival goes to benefit a lot of charities,” explained festival co-chair Rick Manayan, “including the Next Step Shelter in Kakaako, Catholic Charities family programs, the Kalihi after school meals programs. It benefits that and the school to help them buy technology in iPads and Smartpads.”
