41-story tower to be built in Ward Village

Another high rise is being planned for Ward Village.

The Howard Hughes Corporation announced its plans for Ko’ula.

It will be 41 stories and will have 570 condo units.

The high rise will offer studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom units ranging in size from 300 square feet to 1,500 square feet.

There will be restaurants and shops on the ground floor.

Every tower residence will have a private lanai.

“The building will be located in the heart of Ward Village right next to the Central Plaza so that connection to the building’s ground floor, retail and dining and Central Plaza is going to make this community come together,” Todd Apo, Howard Hughes spokesman said.

Howard Hughes submitted its plans for Ko’ula to the Hawaii Community Development Authority for approval.

Hearings will be held this summer.

If it gets the green light, Howard Hughes will begin sales by the end of the 2018.
