2 THE WEB: Rays pick Kamehameha-Kapalama graduate Meyer in MLB draft

With the 1,108th pick in the 37th round in the 2015 Major League Baseball draft, the Tampa Bay Rays selected Kamehameha-Kapalama graduate Kewby Meyer.

Meyer played four years at the University of Nevada, where he ranked ninth in the Mountain West Conference with a .342 batting average, and second with 22 doubles.

The former Warrior capped his career with 211 starts, leading the nation in career doubles by the time his career ended.
